Counselling and referrals for children and youth impacted by DV

Gladstone Women’s Health offers free, client-centred, trauma-informed case management and counselling to children, youth and adults who have experienced, are experiencing, or at risk of experiencing domestic and family violence in an inclusive and safe environment.

We also work in close cooperation with other service organisations to refer children to the right support organisations, and run programs aimed at helping children and youth who have experienced domestic and family violence.

We have a dedicated children's counsellor to support young people, and our experienced staff host regular art and craft and wellbeing workshops for women, children and youth.

As part of an active local domestic violence and sexual assault awareness network, we actively assist in the delivery of a widely recognised respectful relationships program called "Love Bites", which was authored by NAPCAN (National Association for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect). Love Bites is delivered via workshops that engage students in rela life scenarios around the topics of domestic and family violence and sexual assault awareness.

Please contact us if you would like to discuss the services we can offer to you, your children and youth.
