💜May is Domestic Violence Prevention Month

On Saturday 2 May 2026, Gladstone Women’s Health Centre is in partnership with the Valleys Rugby League Football Club and will be hosting Domestic Violence Respect Round, an important day where clubs, players, families, and the wider community come together to stand against domestic violence and support those affected.

Domestic and family violence impacts far too many individuals and families in our communities. As a service and as a club we believe respect, teamwork, and looking after one another is of up most importance and we think we could use our platforms to raise awareness and encourage conversations that can make a real difference.

We invite everyone in our community to come down, show support, and stand together with us. Whether you're a player, supporter, parent, volunteer, or local resident your presence matters.

The theme for Domestic Violence Prevention Month 2026 is “Together, Queensland can prevent domestic and family violence”

When communities come together, we send a powerful message that Domestic Violence is not acceptable and that support, respect, and safety should always come first.

This round is about more than just rugby league. Let’s make it about supporting each other, raising awareness, and strengthening our community.
