Reclaim the Night march route

Sexual Assault Awareness Month is held during October each year to raise community awareness about sexual violence, to promote the support options available to people affected by sexual assault and sexual abuse, and to uphold a clear message that sexual violence will not be tolerated in our communities. Reclaim the Night is a global event where men and women stand up against sexual violence and communities take control and respond to sexual violence against women,

This year, the Gladstone Women’s Health Centre is holding a free “RECLAIM THE NIGHT” march/walk to Port Curtis Sailing Club and back, a ceremony (with candlelight vigial) and barbecue at Dargin Point, Gladstone Marina on Thursday, 28 October 2021 from 5pm. To get there, go over the marina bridge and go right at the second roundabout and follow the signs.

Port Curtis Rotary Club will be hosting the barbecue from 6.15pm.

*Men, Women and Children are encouraged to participate, though children do not require registration.
